Lunchtime Seminar: Hope Hidden Beneath The Violence: Development of a Mindfulness-Based Intervention for Dating Aggression

Dr. Ngo will present research originally funded as a U-M Injury Center-MICHR Postdoctoral Translation Scholar Program project, which focuses on developing an intervention to reduce dating aggression perpetration among high-risk emerging adults. This intervention in a multi-session therapeutic intervention that incorporates mindfulness and contemplative practice into more traditional CBT and Motivational Interviewing approaches and leverages technology for intervention delivery to increase access to youth living in underserved, under-resourced communities.
