CDC Highlights the U-M IPC Successful Collaborations Formed to Combat the Opioid Crisis in Michigan
We’re excited to share a story published by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDCP) that showcases our work combating the opioid epidemic. The story highlights our important opioid-related outreach, focusing on three of our most successful partnerships and collaborations with the state health department and other state agencies:
- the System for Opioid Overdose Surveillance (SOS),
- the Michigan Safer Opioid Prescribing Toolkit, and
- the Opioid Massive Open Online Course (Opioid MOOC).
As noted in the story, due in part to our funding from the CDC, Michigan is better prepared to quickly and efficiently respond to the continuing opioid overdose epidemic as a result of these important efforts.
