Biography

Bethany Folsom, CPST is an Injury Prevention Coordinator and Health Educator for the Pediatric Trauma Department at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Ms. Folsom instructs children, teens, parents, caregivers and teachers in a variety of injury prevention areas including Child Passenger Safety, bicycle safety, and safe babysitting techniques. She is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and Child Life professional. Ms. Folsom conducts presentations in schools, community events, and SafetyTown, and is the regional coordinator for Safe Kids Huron Valley. Ms. Folsom has also supported the design and development of apps for use in teaching injury prevention concepts to young children via an engaging and entertaining approach.

Research Interests

Ms. Folsom's research interests include child passenger safety, bicycle safety, and safe babysitting techniques.
