Biography

Matthew Myers is a research analyst and PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Prior to that, Mr. Myers was a full-time staff member of the University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center, aiding in data management and analytics for a number of Injury Prevention Center publications and projects. Matthew has been involved with the CDC-funded U-M Injury Prevention Center since 2018.

Research Interests

Matthew has a particular interest in the epidemiology and health outcomes associated with substance use. He has a history evaluating policy effects on Opioid-associated morbidity and mortality, as well as looking at the societal costs associated with infant drug exposure and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
