Dr. Sarah Peitzmeier is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Biological Sciences at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. She is also core faculty at the UM Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities.
Dr. Peitzmeier’s mixed-methods research focuses on gender-based violence epidemiology and prevention in marginalized groups, particularly LGBTQ communities. Her current projects focus on intimate partner and sexual violence prevention in transgender individuals, as well as developing better ways to screen for intimate partner violence in trans individuals and connect survivors to care.
