Biography
Dr. Lewis is an Instructor at the U-M department of Psychiatry. She is also a board certified psychiatrist with an active interest in health, wellness, and the prevention of illness. Her clinical background includes positions in a variety of medical settings such as the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital System at Chelsea Community Hospital, Southern California Permanente Medical Group, and private practice. She is recognized as a collaborative and thoughtful leader who is dedicated to making the world a healthier and safer place for all.
Research Interests
Dr. Lewis’s research interests include community health and injury prevention. She collaborated with researchers at the University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center to examine factors related to the epidemic of prescription opioid medication misuse. She is also committed to working for the prevention of violence in America through her work on the executive committee of Physicians for the Prevention of Gun Violence.
