Highlighting New SOS Features

The System for Opioid Overdose Surveillance (SOS) is an interactive opioid overdose surveillance system that provides near real-time data of suspected non-fatal and fatal overdose cases to authorized public health and public safety stakeholders across the state of Michigan.

New capabilities now available include:

  • Receive email alerts if suspected overdoses exceed a pre-determined threshold
  • View demographic and place-based data overlays
  • Create personalized geographic regions
