New U-M Injury Prevention Center Visual Abstract
We would like to share a new visual abstract based on a study, “Prevention of Sexual Violence Among College Students: Current Challenges and Future Directions,” published by Core Faculty Dr. Erin Bonar and team in the Journal of American College Health. The research team included Dr. Sarah DeGue, Dr. Antonia Abbey, Dr. Ann Coker, Dr. Christine Lindquist, Dr. Heather McCauley, Dr. Elizabeth Miller, Dr. Charlene Senn, Dr. Martie Thompson, Core Faculty Dr. Quyen Ngo, Senior Advisor Dr. Rebecca Cunningham, and Senior Associate Director Dr. Maureen Walton.
The team’s paper stems from the Summit on the Prevention of Campus Sexual Assault that was convened in 2018 by the University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center, during which experts reviewed the state of the science on campus sexual violence prevention. In their article, “Prevention of sexual violence among college students: Current challenges and future directions,” the researchers summarize key risk and vulnerability factors and campus-based interventions, providing directions for future research. The work was published this month in the Journal of American College Health.
