New Visual Abstract: Electronic Bridge to Mental Health for College Students: A Randomized Controlled Intervention Trial

The University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center is excited to offer a new visual abstract highlighting research by Dr. Cheryl King and a team including IPC core faculty Dr. Erin Bonar as well as Drs. Daniel Eisenberg, Jacqueline Pistorello, William Coryell, Ronald Albucher, Todd Favorite, Adam Horwitz, Daniel Epstein, and Kai Zheng.

The abstract examines the efficacy of Electronic Bridge to Mental Health for College Students (eBridge) for increasing at-risk students’ linkage to mental health services. The researchers concluded that eBridge shows promise for reaching a relatively small subset of college students at risk for suicide, but that engagement was low. They further concluded the study highlights the urgent need for more effective strategies to engage young adults in online mental health interventions.
