New Visual Abstract: Technology-Facilitated Violence Prevalence and Associations Among a Nationally Representative Sample of Young Men
The University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center is excited to offer a new visual abstract highlighting research by Dr. Laura Seewald and a team including IPC core faculty Drs. Richard Tolman, Shawna Lee, Quyen Ngo, and Vijay Singh, as well as Drs. Tova Walsh and Lauren Reed.
The abstract highlights a study of a nationally representative sample of 1,079 men surveyed to determine technology-facilitated violence prevalence and associations. Researchers found that nearly one in three men in the U.S. had received or sent technology-facilitated threats. The team concluded that primary care physicians should consider assessing technology-facilitated partner violence among male patients and developing evidence-based interventions.
