U-M IPC 2021 Suicide Prevention Summit Draws over 1,500

On March 16th, the University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center held a unique event to share the latest evidence-based suicide prevention research, facilitate new collaborations, and explore new ideas for suicide prevention. The virtual summit, The Science of Suicide Prevention: New Strategies for Understanding and Intervening, drew over 3,000 registrants, with 1,560 attendees joining throughout the day from all 50 states and 86 countries. We heard from IPC faculty and other leaders in suicide injury prevention research and from 20 abstract presenters spread worldwide.
