MSMS: Michigan State Medical Society

CMS: Opioid Resources

  • CMS provides resources on the opioid crisis, addressing the epidemic in minority communities, and Medicare Part D and opioid prescribing.

National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO): Opioid Overdose Epidemic Toolkit for Local Health Departments

  • This online toolkit contains resources on monitoring and surveillance, prevention, linkage to care, and more to support local health department opioid overdose prevention and response efforts.

American Hospital Association: Stem the Tide: Addressing the Opioid Epidemic

  • Stem the Tide: Addressing the Opioid Epidemic is a comprehensive resource from the AHA with information on non-opioid pain management, stigma, treatment, and more.

ATTC: Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network

  • Funded by SAMHSA; this extensive resource contains educational packages for opioid use disorders for all job classes in medicine.

PCSS: Providers Clinical Support System

  • PCSS provides educational and training materials for providers who want to prescribe MAT.

University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center

  • Go to the University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center website for opioid resources including the Michigan Safer Opioid Prescribing Toolkit, the System for Opioid Overdose Surveillance (SOS), and a free open online opioid course for non-prescribers.

MOC: Michigan Opioid Collaborative

  • MOC provides consultation to support MAT providers around the state; and offers X-waiver training.

M-OPEN: Michigan Opioid Prescribing Engagement Network

  • M-OPEN uses a comprehensive strategy to improve opioid prescribing practices in acute settings.
