Dr. Ehrlich is a Professor of Surgery and the Medical Director of the University of Michigan’s Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center which serves the state of Michigan and has a large outreach and injury prevention program particularly for underserved children. He also serves as the Co-Director of the U-M Injury Prevention Center’s Outreach and Translation Core focusing on the translation and dissemination of injury science. Dr. Ehrlich has a broad background in clinical pediatric trauma, research in the field of injury, and he has led the Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention Program at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at U-M in the creation of a Distracted Driving website and research on post-surgical opioid prescribing, in partnership with the Kohl’s Foundation.

Research Interests
Dr. Ehrlich is nationally recognized in both pediatric trauma research and pediatric oncology research. His current research activities include Wilm’s tumor, Hodgkins disease, and various pediatric trauma assessment and outcomes. Dr. Ehrlich’s research is focused on pediatric and adolescent injury prevention and provides expertise and leadership to the U-M Injury Prevention Center’s Outreach and Translation Core.
