The U-M Injury Prevention Center is a leader in the field of transportation safety. We have funded work ranging from young driver safety to child passenger seat safety, as well as bicycle/motor vehicle safety. We are continually working to improve motor vehicle safety. The Checkpoints Program is an evidence-based, parent-oriented teen-driving intervention, using a sustainable delivery mode that could be adopted and institutionalized nationwide.

How Multiple Male Peer Passengers Affect Male Adolescent Risky Driving; February 2, 2017
Dr. Anuj Pradhan presented his findings from his recent U-M IPC-funded study on adolescent male driving behavior during a 2017 lunchtime seminar. Dr. Pradhan is interested in the etiology of injuries and fatalities due to motor vehicle crashes from a human factors and behavioral standpoint.
